Promoting Clean Sport Education at the University
On 13th April 2024, our project partners from POLADA presented a seminar on clean sport education at the Wyższa Szkoła Zdrowia w Gdańsku (University of Health in Gdansk, Poland) to students of Sports Nutrition and Dietetics, as part of activities to widely communicate and disseminate project EPCS-TE and its purpose.


Project EPCS-TE at the 2nd Pancyprian Conference of Sport Science & Physical Education
Professor Lambros Lazuras, external advisor to the project’s consortium, presented EPCS-TE during his keynote speech at the Conference of the Association of Qualified Sport Science & Physical Education “Innovations in Physical Education, Sports & Exercise Sciences” that took place in Nicosia, Cyprus on 2nd November 2024.

Project EPCS-TE at the 17th Anti-Doping Workshop of the Seibesdorf Doping Control Laboratory

Dr Michael Petrou, President of CyADA and Project EPCS-TE Coordinator, presented Project EPCS-TE at the 17th Anti-Doping Workshop organised by the Seibesdorf Doping Control Laboratory on the 25th of November 2024 in Seibersdorf, Austria. The workshop included nearly 90 participants from across the globe, including representatives from National Anti-Doping Organisations in Europe, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the International Testing Agency (ITA), international federations and other anti-doping experts.
EPCS-TE Study Published in Special Issue on Anti-Doping Education
As part of the research activities of project EPCS-TE, our consortium published a systematic review on the effectiveness of anti-doping education programmes for university students in the Special Issue “Current Trends in Doping Use in Recreational and Competitive Sport” in Elsevier Journal Emerging Trends in Drugs, Addiction, & Health.

2nd Transnational Partners’ Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal
The second transnational partners’ meeting of project EPCS-TE was hosted by CyADA in Limassol, Cyprus, on 4th December 2024. During the meeting, project partners discussed the next steps for the implementation of the project’s empirical studies. The meeting also included observers from the NADOs of Türkiye and Norway who served as “critical friends”, offering important insights for the design of the empirical research, especially the mapping practices of NADOs in fostering collaborations with tertiary education institutions to promote clean sport education.
